Job Description:
Job Description California Tools and Equipment is a growing
family business looking to add the right members to our team to
grow with our company. We are looking for an organized and
motivated warehouse manager to join our facility. The warehouse
manager will be responsible for ensuring inventory is processed,
organized, and stored. The warehouse manager will also package,
scan, and prepare orders for delivery. The ideal candidate is
comfortable working on their feet, focused on meeting quotas, and
experienced in inventory software and databases. The warehouse
manager will also operate heavy machinery, or drive equipment, so a
candidate with experience and a valid driver's license is
preferred. A great job for someone who is trying to make a large
impact at a company with the potential to grow and acquire more
responsibilities over time. Responsibilities Oversee daily
operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
Maintain and improve the performance of the warehouse---s storage
and shipment processes. Ability to learn how to use our company's
database and suggest improvements for warehouse efficiency. Review
and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, and action
plans while ensuring productivity, quality, and customer service
standards are met Assist with the movement of physical products
coming into and out of the warehouse. Work independently to pick,
pack, ship orders and stack/organize large bulk items and freight
shipments. Remove inventory from trucks or shipping and delivery to
the proper location Update data storage system with all relevant
warehousing information such as inventory levels and shipment
processing. Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and
oversee general maintenance as needed Ensure workspace is free of
debris and remove safety hazards from aisles Strategically assist
in the management of the warehouse in compliance with the
company---s policies and vision. Develop a good working knowledge
of the product, placement, and inventory control processes and
procedures. Communicate with other departments and transportation
providers to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner.
Performs other job duties as needed or directed. Requirements
Frequently required to stand, bend and lift 50 lbs or more and
relocate 100(-/) pounds. A high school diploma required Proven
ability to create and implement process improvement initiatives
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
Drive a stand-up forklift (not immediately required, but you will
be trained to do so) Excellent problem-solving skills and
leadership qualities Comfortable creating and delivering frequent
reports for Key Performance Indicators(KPIs). Wear safety gear at
all times Able to work independently and follow detailed
instructions Must follow all health and safety procedures and
regulations as dictated by the organization, state. Bi-weekly pay
$16-20 per hour depending upon experience. Prepared to work 3-5
days a week, 4-8 hours shifts. Weekends are off Proven experience
in an inventory control/warehouse environment. Working with racking
systems and loading/unloading pallets (e.g., pulling and placing
pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks,
maximizing storage by stacking products vertically, etc.) Helpful
Experience: Drive a stand-up forklift.
