Job Description:
Job Description Shipping/Receiving Associate Summary: The
Shipping/Receiving Associate will be receiving all incoming freight
and shipments for processing related to POs and inventory. This
individual is responsible for shipping all customer orders and
processing customer shipments. Essential Functions: Prepares,
packages, and scans serializes items into the client's shipping
system Cross-trains in both Shipping and Receiving Lifts and/or
moves 10-60 pounds Receives truckload shipments along with incoming
FedEx or UPS packages Loads and unloads trailers using a forklift
and pallet jackets Assists in forklift maintenance and safety
training Orders cardboard, labels, and shipping supplies from
vendors as needed Maintains cooperative interaction between supply
vendors, trucking companies, and our customers Identifies product,
locates customer/vendor purchase orders and updates receipts into
client's system, and/or creates incoming audits for purchasing or
appropriate department(s) Processes items without paperwork
including entering locations into the system and forwarding
information to appropriate NAMs and MASRs Assists in issuing
freight price quote Assists in setting up large freight requests
Additional Specific Duties and Responsibilities Required
Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree 3-6
months related warehouse experience, training, or equivalent; a
combination of education and experience Desired/Preferred
Qualifications Ability to operate a forklift, certified forklift
operator, classroom trained Prior knowledge of automated inventory
systems Ability to operate a personal computer using windows based
programs Ability to identify products based on features and
appearance Ability to scan and process highly automated FedEx or
UPS shipments in Vendor system supervisory Responsibility: None
Travel Less than 10% Work Environment: Ability to handle multiple
priorities and demands in a fast-paced environment. This job
operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely
uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones,
photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Physical
