Title : Embedded Systems Engineer Job ID#: 66094 Duration: Permanent Location: Buena Park, CA Pay Range: $115K - $130K (based on experience) Job Summary Develop, document and maintain embedded system requirement for a variety of real-time control systems and associated sub-systems. Review, validate and decompose system requirements to hardware and software. Design, develop, code, test and debug integrated hardware and software systems per RTCA/DO-178 requirement. Develop verification test plan and perform hardware/software integration and verification tests. Document design data, test data and analytic results. Participate in Formal ReviewsPrimary Responsibilities

• Interpret requirements and create detailed specifications for power distribution equipment and electronic hardware modules in DOORS
• Develop embedded software with structured architecture and good documentation
• Perform hardware/software integration
• Perform verification tests; compile test data, create test report and Software Accomplishment Summary
• Coordinate testing activities on assigned projects in a multi-disciplinary teamBasic Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or University in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering discipline
  • Minimum of five years' experience designing embedded controller based products specialized in embedded system or digital circuit design
  • Experience with capturing requirement and designs using DOORS.
  • Experience with serial communication protocols
  • Familiar with microcontrollers (ARM Cortex M4)
  • Familiar with software development methods for real time system and standard tools
  • Experience with Hardware and Software integration test benchmarks and procedures
  • Comprehend Circuit Schematics (Analog and Digital)
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task.
  • Team PlayerPreferred Qualifications
    • Master of Science Degree in Electrical/Software/Computer Engineering
    • Familiar with Aerospace industry standards, and Military requirements
    • Experience with DOORS DXL scripting language
    • Familiar with RTCA/DO-178 & RTCA/DO-254 development process
    • Experience with CAN, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-485, SPI, I2C and Ethernet
    • Experience with scripting languages. (Python, Batch file)
    • Experience with analog and digital design is highly desirable
    • Familiar in handling High Power testing and instrumentations, 270 VDC and 115 VAC.
    • Pragmatic thinker able to prioritize and mitigate risks
