Job SummaryThe Contracts Administrator is responsible for the generation, review, negotiation, management oversight, and closure of government, commercial and purchasing contracts to ensure they satisfy customer requirements and adhere to company policy as well as all applicable laws and regulations. They will also be involved in a variety of sales and customer support activities including new business pursuits and supporting existing customers.Primary ResponsibilitiesResponsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers by utilizing excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.Review Contracts and Non-Disclosure Agreements (customers, suppliers, and others) in support of negotiations.Participate in proposal review, preparation and negotiation activities while performing contract terms review and acceptance.Ensure adherence to internal contracts, policies and guidelines and assist the Business Units in negotiations.Counsel and assist the operational and functional departments on their performance to contract requirements/obligations and any additional contracts issues.Adhere to Leach's policies and all applicable laws and regulations, including those relating to export and international trade compliance.Participate in the protection and respect for the interests of the company through the monitoring of contractual terms and conditions and the adherence to the principles of all Leach guidelines.Facilitate information flow between the customer and internal departments and ensure timely communications to and from the customer during proposal, contract, and claim negotiations,Ensure contracts are stored in accordance with established procedures and accessible at all times by authorized personnel.Ensure the protection of Company's interests with respect to Patents, Intellectual Property Rights and Proprietary Information through the use of contract provisions and Non-Disclosure Agreements or other types of contractual documents.Assist with establishing policies, procedures, and standard practices within a team environment to ensure contract activities achieve desired objectives and have a positive effect on customer satisfaction.Provide direction and training to professional and technical staff on contract / subcontract matters and make presentations as required.Prepare contractual correspondence and documentation from pre-award through closure.Administer complex contracts with best practices to eliminate non-value added/non-essential activities.Actively participates in the Quality / Business Management System.Understand and live by Leach's ethics and business conduct policies.Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree with orientation in business / law or other business disciplineMBA or advanced degree preferred, Contracts Certification in FAR/DFAR regulations preferred4+ years' experience working with contracts of $1,000,000 or more in the Aerospace and Defense industryProven track record of interpreting terms and conditions, presenting the company's position and negotiatingProven ability to assess business, financial, and contractual impactsAbility to work in an environment where tact, sensitivity, respect, tenacity, persuasive ability, and decisiveness are required for successFamiliar with basic applicable government purchasing regulations and requirements (FAR/DFAR)Proficient command of English operational and legal language - written and oralStrong analytical, verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with multiple levels of customers and management staffStrong organizational skills and ability to handle and prioritize across multiple projectsComputer and proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgmentUnderstanding of U.S. Export requirements (EAR and ITAR)Must be able to maintain composure while under intense pressure and deadlinesCompetenciesAs an individual contributor you will be expected to demonstrate the following competencies: Customer Focus, Listening, Problem Solving, Action Oriented, Composure, Functional/Technical Skills, Ethics and Values, Integrity and Trust and will need to Value Diversity.To comply with U.S. export laws and regulations, Leach International Corporation operations in the U.S. may only employ "U.S. Persons" as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).Equal Opportunity Employer, Including Disability/Vets
