Amazon is looking for a talented Associate Corporate Counsel attorney to provide legal advice and counseling on technology transactions and general commercial matters for its Ring, Blink, Key, and Sidewalk businesses. You will support Amazon’s senior management, technology and engineering, marketing, customer support, business development, sales, supply chain, and information security teams. Key job responsibilities - Structuring, drafting, and negotiating licensing agreements and a wide range of commercial agreements - Providing support to the business on other legal matters on an as-needed basis - Some travel, domestic and international, may be required. You'll engage with technology, engineering, marketing, and business development teams, translating legal complexities into business opportunities. We see legal counsel as a strategic partner, not just a compliance function. - 2 years of legal experience - Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent - Experience in private practice or in house experience at a technology company or equivalent - Experience in web services/cloud computing, software licensing, telecommunications or equivalent - Experience interacting with a broad set of businesses and presenting both over the phone and in person - Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities - Experience working proactively and independently, meeting deadlines, and delivering on projects and tasks - Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - Experience in written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive) Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
