For Victorian based employees, the compliance date is 26 November 2021.All other global Boeing locations do not have a vaccination requirement at this time.Boeing Satellite Division in El Segundo is seeking Software Engineers, passionate about space and excited to work in a multi-disciplined, collaborative engineering environment to lead a team to specify, design, develop, implement, and qualify control and communications software for a new fleet of Boeing satellites.This position is contingent upon awardPrimary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting-full life-cycle development including requirements analysis, software architecture, designs, coding, unit test, integration and formal qualification.
  • Experience in analyzing system requirements and decomposing them to software requirements.-
  • Candidate should possess excellent communications skills to participate in requirements, design and code reviews; have a thorough understanding of version control and software quality attributes, such as testability, portability and maintainability; and enjoy a self-driven and collaborative development approach.
  • Candidate should possess excellent communications skills and works well in a team environment.
  • Must be able to interact well with System Engineers/Analyst as well other members of the Integrated Product Team.
  • Familiarity with formal development process and current software engineering topics is highly desired.This position is expected to be 100% onsite.- The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
    • 5+ years' experience in software architecture and design of complex embedded software systems.
    • 5+ years of direct experience designing and developing software for a real time or non real-time system.?Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
      • Successfully completed single scope background investigation (SSBI)
      • Experience working with system/subsystem engineers
      • Experience working with external software suppliers
      • Experience integrating large scale software systems.
      • Familiarity with real-time embedded software development that includes requirements analysis through Formal Qualification.Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
