If so, then check out this opportunity.Based in Buena Park, CA, Studio 60 functions as an in-house creative agency for Yamaha musical instrument and audio/visual products. The Front-End Developer will work under the direction of the Web Optimization Manager to help implement creative vision and execute website design & front end work that will elevate the brand. The Front-End Developer is responsible for ideation, translating creative direction, and transformation of those ideas into compelling user-friendly web pages.The Front-End Developer will design and develop web pages that aesthetically complement the Yamaha brand across a variety of platforms in a high-volume environment while being acutely aware of user experience, WCAG accessibility compliance, and SEO best practices. The ideal candidate can work very well both individually and in team situations, should be able to enthusiastically present to cross-functional teams, demonstrate a strong understanding of HTML and CSS including responsive design, and make a solid case for design decisions made.Here's What You'll Do:Work with Studio 60 staff and partners to lead and develop the overall look and feel of websites and webpages.Provide front end solutions and guidance for e-commerce team, marketing teams, the creative team, and other partner representatives according to style guides, guidelines, and best practices.Use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, develop cross-browser, cross-device, responsive, and interactive web pages for landing pages, e-commerce pages, product information pages, events pages, and other types of pages.In collaboration with back-end developers, optimize existing and new web pages for core web vitals and other performance factors as reported in Google Lighthouse and Page Speed tools.Provide appropriate schema.org structured data in existing and new web pages.Design accessible web sites and web pages with a user-centered experience approach and in compliance with WCAG.Develop web pages with appropriate web libraries to create templates and API Calls for middle and back-end systems in an agile environment.Troubleshoot and resolve issues and bugs in front end web applications and web pages.Optimize existing web pages and web applications for SEO, WCAG accessibility, and performance.Test websites for quality of user experience, ease of use, and other quality factors as necessary.Stay abreast of developments in user interface and user experience design of web sites.Perform other duties and participate in projects as needed.Here's What You'll Bring to the TableRequired:Undergraduate or graduate degree in graphic or web design or equivalent experience.4+ yearsproven experience in user experience and user interface design for websites.2+ years of experience in jQuery and Bootstrap.Deep knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.In depth knowledge of the application of WCAG to websites, webpages, and HTML email.Solid skills in improving web page performance, including core web vitals.In depth understanding of SEO factors in web site and web page design and development.Experience with UI and UX development in D2C and B2C ecommerce environments.Exceptional ability to analyze existing web interfaces for opportunities to optimize the user experience.Knowledge and experience with Mac-based graphic and design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe XD.Preferred:6+ yearsproven experience as a Front-End Developer.Graduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.Certification(s) in Front End Web Design and Development and WCAG 2.1.Working knowledge of workflow project tools such as JIRA, Workfront, etc.Here's what we'll bring to the table: Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Vision, Dental, LTD, Life-Insurance and 401k with match AND automatic contributions.Performance based bonus program.Robust employee wellness programs including free music lessons.Gym membership reimbursement program.Tobacco cessation reward program.Free concerts from award winning artists.Discounted hotel, travel, entertainment, and other attractions.Employee product purchase program.Flexible work options.Casual dress.Vacation, sick-time and personal floating holidays.Inclusive and passionate culture.Opportunity to be part of something bigger; changing people's lives through music and sound.If this role is 'music to your ears', please apply!
