ExemptPosition Summary:
MASHindustries is a turnkey custom millwork and commercial casework
manufacturer offering state-of-the-art fabrication and professional
installation. As a Millworker Assistant Project Manager you will
act as a conduit and facilitate information between all parties -
internal and external. -
This employee is accountable for the management of multiple
millwork projects ranging from $500k to $2.5million - by accounting
for all costs and deadlines associated with each project. - Project
management is required from the award of the project through its
completion. -
This is a skilled position accountable for supporting all aspects
of the company's proprietary Project Management processes under and
in support of the Project Managers. The Assistant Project Manager
will assist all aspects of project management and interact with our
drafting department, purchasing dept., production dept., and
customers as needed. -Competencies:
- Preferred Education: AAS or AA College Degree -
- Experience: General knowledge of woods, veneers, hardware, and
construction methods as well as fabrication and install
techniques.
- Must possess the ability to multi-task working on several
projects at one time during the course of the day.

pressure maintaining a positive attitude at all times in a
demanding, fast-paced environment managing multiple projects at one
time.

- Demonstrable experience with PCs; must be proficient with
Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of Netsuite Preferred

- Experience project managing within the construction and/or
interior design industry
- Expertise in client and budget management.
- Extensive and current knowledge of product, pricing options and
product applications, along with understanding application and
modification capabilities -Essential Duties & Responsibilities: -
- Develop finish schedule and submittal logs.
- Work with purchasing and shop on physical submittals.
- Develop hardware schedule and data submittals.
- Compile introduction letter, climate control letter, and
project fabrication calendar slot with qualifications to be sent to
General Contractor.
- Understands specs and job standard requirements for shop
drawing implementation.
- Create submittals for project, work with venders to obtain
necessary samples, track submittals and obtain approvals, interact
with clients for pertinent information needed to provide
requirements of each project.
- Work with Project Managers to:
- Develop a millwork tracking template. -
- Implement the job schedule by item.
- Breakout plans for buyout items.
- Understand the scope of work, obtain necessary information
missing from architectural and/or specifications. Analyze this
information against our current scope of work and/or contracts. -
Work closely with Project management on any and all issues relating
to our contractual obligations.
- Assist with design document review prior to field
measurements.
- Implement field dimensions.
- Implement redlines.
- Detailing by use of sketches and/or cad drawings for the
purpose of outsourcing specialty items.
- Review and understand incoming ASI's and RFI's.
- Assist the Project Managers with monitoring progress of project
and alert the Project Managers of any discrepancies.
- Assist with shipping documents.
- Working with project managers on scheduling and creating
documentation for deliveries and install of product. -
- Assure all key components for said project is complete,
packaged and delivered to site in preparation for install.
- Compile closeout Documents.
- Attend meetings as required with Project Managers and/or
clients.
- Assist in preparing documentation for engineering handoff, -
this may include by not limited to specifications, specialty
materials, hardware specifications, molding profile, specialty door
styles and any nuances regarding the onset of a new project.
- Coordinate and schedule sample production with Shop
Supervisor
- Submit finish samples to clients
- Receive and file all approved material samples
- Update project spreadsheets for team visibility
- Identify and describe Scope of Work and develop project budget
/ estimate.
- Coordinate Project Resources -
- Work with Purchasing to identify, source and manage appropriate
vendors and suppliers within given supply chain.
- Work with Shop Supervisors and Purchasing to keep up-to-date on
all resources.
- Deliver Projects on Time, Within Budget, and Exceed
Expectations
- Coordinate all change orders along the project time-line
- Quality control all elements throughout the production
process

- Must be able to sit at desk for an eight-hour shift (with

equipment
- See, hear and communicate with sufficient capability to perform
assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions
- Must be alert and aware of surrounding for safety concerns
The work environment for this position is primarily in an office
setting. As MASHindustries is a manufacturer of custom cabinetry,
architectural millwork, and casework products; the incumbent could
also be exposed to dust, various temperatures, fumes and loud noise
in the manufacturing setting. Due to periodic time spent on the
manufacturing floor, the incumbent must be able to tolerate some
exposure to these workplace characteristics. The incumbent must
also follow company safety procedures, including wearing required
personal protective equipment while on the production floor.
The incumbent must reside within a reasonable distance of the Buena
Park, CA area to service this location.
Travel: Minimal travel among customer sites may be requested from
time to time; on occasions this position may be requested by
clients to attend meetings and/or visit the site. -The preceding
