Boeing Commercial Aircraft is seeking Mid-Level and Experienced
Engineers to join our team at Adient located in Huntington Beach,
CA. The Payloads Organization is responsible for everything you see
when you fly; and much of which you don't. The Interiors of the
airplane, along with the cargo compartments, exterior markings,
associated systems, and cabin safety all make up Payloads.In

- Knowledge of Boeing Seat Integration Team (SIT) processes,
program plans, policies and procedures, and products required to
effectively perform functional responsibilities of the
occupation.
- Assist in Initial technical coordination (ITCM), Preliminary
Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), and First
Article Inspection (FAI) major milestone meetings
- Assist in review and approval of supplier technical data and
documents for compliance with FAA and other regulatory bodies
- Verify Supplier design meets Customer and Boeing
specifications
- Coordinate with certification specialists to ensure proper
certification and test documentation prior to aircraft
delivery.
- Lead process improvement activities with our supplier in an
effort to streamline the seats installations, certification and
rework processes
- Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and
analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and
recommendations from appropriate data sources.
- Position requires close coordination and teaming with other
internal and external Engineering teams, external Suppliers and
Supplier ManagementThis position is expected to be 100% onsite.--
The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of
the listed location options. This position must meet Export Control
compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22
C.F.R. -- 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen,
lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications
(Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an
accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 5+ years of engineering experiencePreferred Qualifications
(Desired Skills/Experience):
- 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent
combination of education and experience
- Experience using IVT, CATIA, ENOVIA/PDM, ETAC, and SDT
tools
- Experience with Corrective Actions (CARs) and Engineering
Change processes
- Knowledge of Boeing engineering release requirements
- Knowledge of aircraft interiors and layouts, FAR & SAE
requirements for 16g dynamically tested seats, passenger seats
TSO's, as well as other applicable FAR / JAR requirements for
aircraft interior components
- Excellent communication and project management skillsTypical
Education/Experience:-- Mid-level (Level 3)Education/experience
typically acquired through advanced technical education from an
accredited course of study in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5
or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination
of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years'
related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the
preferred, although not required, accreditation
standard.Experienced (Level 4)Education/experience typically
acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited
course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics,
physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years'
related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical
education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work
experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA,
ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required,
