Job Description Job Description JOB INFORMATION: HeyTutor has
partnered with a school district in Los Angeles (Accelerated TAS)
and we're looking to hire someone that is spanish bilingual for
ELOP Support Staff who can assist students during the school day
and after-school transition periods. You will be working with
students in grades K–8. You'll be actively supervising students,
supporting case management for student-athletes during sports
seasons, providing homework/tutoring support in the off season, and
helping the site team with compliance and attendance accuracy. You
must be comfortable passing an IN-PERSON background check. If you

you! PAY: Range: $19-$24 Pay depends on a combination of education
and experience and will be determined at the time of the interview

Monday–Friday. 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (includes a 30-minute unpaid meal

Advance notice will be provided whenever possible. JOB DUTIES:
Administrative and Clerical (30%) Provide clerical and reception
services for the Expanded Learning Opportunity Program (ELOP),
including answering phones, greeting visitors, and directing
inquiries. Provide general administrative and clerical support to
office/program operations (e.g., filing, data entry, document
audits) to ensure smooth daily workflows. Collect, review, and file
ELOP applications, student rosters, and attendance records. Support
preparation of program materials, including flyers, bulletins,
newsletters, and parent communications. Maintain accurate and
organized program records including student enrollment, attendance
logs, and sign-in/out sheets. Assist in tracking student
performance, documentation, and staff activity logs. Support
recruitment for all ELOP offerings, including Athletics,
Before/After School Intervention, Saturday School, and 30-day
programs. Collaborate with school office managers and the ELOP
Coordinator to recruit students for chronic absenteeism
interventions and credit recovery (30-day ELOP and Independent
Study programs). Operational and Compliance (25%) Assist with the
preparation and submission of purchase orders and expense records
aligned with ELOP program operations. Monitor supply inventories
for ELOP activities and support ordering of materials as directed.
Provide logistical and clerical support for Athletics, Before/After
School Intervention, Saturday School, and 30-day programs. Review
compliance documents (registration forms, attendance, field trip
forms, student contracts) for completeness and accurate
signatures/ink requirements. Cross-reference daily sign-in/sign-out
sheets with electronic attendance and update daily attendance
trackers. When requested by your manager, facilitate students
taking and completing baseline and summative assessments. Case
Management and Tutoring (20%) During sports seasons, support
student-athlete case management (grade checks, to-do lists,
tracking progress/eligibility). Help research/create a simple case
management system to prepare for upcoming seasons (to-do lists,
grade reviews, reminders). Collaborate with teachers, coaches,
dean, and ELOP Coordinator to identify student academic needs and
connect students to resources (e.g., before/after-school
grade-level tutoring). Monitor computer lab and assist student
login to the i-Ready system to complete i-Ready/MyPath Math/Reading
assignments. Work with groups of students (without the support of a
teacher or school site staff) to provide homework support and
ensure assignment completion. Communication and Customer Service
(10%) Serve as a liaison between families and ELOP staff by
responding to parent inquiries and ensuring clear communication
regarding pick-up, schedule, and program policies. Notify ELOP
Coordinator of any urgent parent, student, or staff concerns to
ensure timely resolution. Coordinate scheduling of parent meetings,
ELOP trainings, and other events. Maintain and update calendars,
announcements, and staff communications for ELOP activities. Notify
ELOP Coordinator of any urgent school administrator/teacher/staff
concerns in order to address issues promptly. Support ELOP
Coordinator in addressing concerns and follow up as directed.
Student Safety and Supervision (5%) Assist k-8th grade students
transitioning to after-school programs (e.g., ARC/MPR) and support
end-of-practice dismissal flow (as needed). Support k-8th grade
student supervision across classrooms, hallways,
dismissal/breezeway, field trips, practices, games, and overflow
areas; conduct campus sweeps to ensure students transition to
correct areas (as needed). Communicate “all clear” of hallways on
walkies to the administrative team. Other (10%) Daily clocking in
and out of Deputy for shifts. Support the Director of Operations
and ELOP Coordinator with additional clerical duties, data entry,
and compliance documentation as needed. Support with any other
duties that may be required by the Company, your manager, and/or
the School Site. WORKLOAD OUTLINE (APPROX. % OF TIME):
Administrative & Clerical Support (30%) General administrative
support to ensure smooth office/program operations. Conduct

attendance trackers and maintain accurate compliance records.

communications. Operational and Compliance (25%) Prepare/submit
purchase orders and maintain simple expense tracking aligned to
ELOP operations. Monitor inventory and coordinate
ordering/distribution of supplies for ELOP activities. Provide
logistics support (athletics, interventions, Saturday School,
30-day programs), including schedules, space setup, and materials.
Reconcile paper vs. electronic attendance daily; flag and correct
discrepancies. Case Management & Tutoring (20%) (fixed from 205%)
Monitor student-athlete grades/progress and maintain to-do lists to
support eligibility. Support students in setting and working toward
short- and long-term goals. Facilitate baseline/summative
assessments as requested by the manager. Provide homework support
and ensure assignment completion (including i-Ready/MyPath lab
monitoring). Communication and Customer Service (10%) Make parent
phone calls for recruitment/retention and provide brief updates
regarding attendance, practices, and events. Follow up with
students who miss sessions/practices to encourage continued
participation. Coordinate with teachers, coaches, and site staff to
support student success; maintain shared calendars and
announcements. Student Safety and Supervision (5%) Supervise
students during transitions, dismissal, practices, games, field
trips, and in overflow areas; perform campus sweeps. Use
radios/walkies to communicate hallway status (“all clear”) and
coordinate with admin. Other (10%) Timekeeping in Deputy; assist
with additional clerical/compliance tasks and special projects as
assigned. Support with any other duties that may be required by the
Company, your manager and/or the School Site. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum
of an Associate’s (AA) degree in Education, Child Development, or a
related field. Experience working with K–8 students in a classroom,
tutoring, or youth program setting. Strong understanding of
tutoring practices, goal-setting (including SMART goals), and basic
case management for students. Strong organizational and management
skills, with the ability to multitask and keep multiple
responsibilities on track. Proficiency in administrative tasks and
clerical workflows; ability to support office operations smoothly.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets,
Forms). Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong
interpersonal and customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to
maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Bilingual in English
and Spanish (preferred). Ability to work effectively with students,
families, and staff from diverse backgrounds. Dependable, punctual,
and able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Comfortable in office and school environments; includes
indoor/outdoor supervision and occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs).
Work hours may occasionally include evenings to support ELOP events
or extended-day programs. Spanish Bilingual Clear FBI-DOJ
background check (facilitated through us). Negative TB Test result.
Strong attention to detail for compliance and attendance
reconciliation. Reliable communication with staff, coaches,
parents, and students. Additional duties may be required based on
