Overview: The Senior Accounting Clerk Assists the Accounting Specialist with correcting, processing and closing the days work. Prepare and distribute all department generated reports. Train all new incoming clerks. How You'll Make A Difference: Assists in processing the daily work, when necessary (ie. prepare daily Foods & Merch imports, Admissions processing). Prepare and distribute the daily Per Capita Reports. Generate, correct and distribute the daily over/short report. Assist the Accounting Specialist in closing the days work, and preparing it for entry into the General Ledger. Prepare and maintain General Ledger account reconciliations. Train all incoming part-time and seasonal clerks. Process and finalize the daily Gate Central attendance (thru ASAP). Import attendance and revenue into the DORS system, making any necessary corrections to the attendance and/or revenue totals as needed. Assists the Supervisor and Specialist with Cedar Fair IT and Marketing with issues that arise in Gate Central, ASAP or DORS. Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions. Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision. Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs. Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies. Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned. We're Looking For: This position requires the following education and experience, or an equivalent combination of both: Education Experience Minimum Age Some College 2 - 4 Years Related Experience: At Least 18 Years of Age basic accounting courses (Helpful) accounting clerk experience Qualifications: Individual must possess a high school diploma. A minimum of 2 years of college accounting courses is preferred. Between 2 to 3 years experience as an accounting clerk. Knowledge of accounting concepts, spreadsheets and word processing. Have skill in data entry and 10 key by touch. Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs. Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law. Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
